So, this morning I woke up and I couldn't move.
I have an on-again - off-again relationship with my back muscles which for the first 30 years of my life meant roughly every 6 months my back would seize and I'd be stuck in bed for around 2 weeks.
The most embarrassing time was when it happened 'mid-loo' ? ...
For years I was a slave to nauseating and useless medications (but if you ever want to know what an out-of-body experience feels like then medications with opiod derivatives in like co-proxamol* are a great place to start!)

Anyways, long story short - this morning, I wasn't worried.
I wasn't dreading the pain or the prospect of being trapped in the bed for the next fortnight.
Because today I have a system.
I know, this blog post just got even weirder for you, but hear me out.
5 years ago I found some holistic methods of treatment which drastically reduces the pain in minutes and it's completely gone after 30 minutes.
The only thing I needed to contemplate was how I could get upright and put 2 drops of Copaiba under my tongue.
As with everything, I tried to do it all on my own first ?♀️
Then I decided to just wait until Matts alarm went off and get him to help ?.
While I was lying there thinking about the way my life was going I started to think about my business and my transition from running a mental health service into running a coaching business.
It struck me that the resistance I'd been facing for most of 2018 was not because of the 'guilt' of letting people down or leaving people I could help to fend for themselves it was because I didn't believe I could bring what I did in therapy as a psychologist to the coaching world.
I had watched so many coaches over the years, use people for money.
People have become a commodity and the very thought of this quite literally sickens me.
I didn't want to be someone who got thousands through my online programme and then doesn't invest in whether they actually get the results they want/need.
While I thought I knew this, I don't think until this morning, did this fully embed in my mind.
I guess that's the power of being forced to contemplate your life?!
Anyhow, back to the story.
In all honesty, when I launched the coaching programme last year I already knew in order for me to safely guide people through their emotional and business issues, I'd need to be with them every step of the way.
The only way that would happen would be if it was live.
So, this limited the number of people I could work with each time the programme runs.
Which is cool, because if you want to make money and have a passive income then there are loads of ways to do that, without using people as a commodity (& yes, in case you're wondering I have a couple of those too).
Anyways when I launched the membership group, I knew that it wasn't going to be like others, it was also going to be a lot of hands on work.
You really can't help someone transform their life or business with information, its the action and the hand-holding that truly matters.
I've been saying for a while, the membership and the coaching programme works so well because I create a community.
However, this morning I realised this was wrong ?.
I didn't create a community, I created a family.
A family of women who are all trying to achieve the same thing - a successful and profitable business.
A family of women who go out of their way (even when they're are stretched to the limit in their own lives) to help each other.
The thing that matters most about this mini-epiphany is that I now also have a system for my business going forward: ???? building a family.
This may mean a lot more time and work from me, in the form of more Facebook lives, more blog posts (because even if 80% of the whole world will be consuming content through video by 2020 I'm one of those who prefers to read #booksrule) and even more time spent in my members group.
But it also means I get to truly make an impact in the lives of those I meet.
In my eyes, that makes my job the best job in the world.
Why do you care?
How does this help you solve your problems?
Well, think about all the things you absolutely love doing and the things that you think you do like no other (& yest embrace your ego here).
Now think about the problem you're having right now.
Are you bringing the whole of you into the solution?
Or are you trying to tackle it based on logical assumptions, what others have done before and even what you've tried in the past?
If so, then you'll not solve it.
Here's what to do now: grab some paper and a pen ?️ and write your current problem at the top of the page, whether it's one about your life or about your business.
Underneath write the following:
"What am I missing? What part of me am I not bringing to this solution? How can I bring my unique skills, abilities and qualities into this?"
Then put it to one side and have a great weekend.
Let it go.
Let it percolate at the back of your mind and get on with whatever it is you are doing.
Chances are the next time you're doing something super mundane you'll get the answer and you will have your very own system for dealing with your current problem.
The best thing, the next time it crops up, you don't need to worry.
I truly hope you don't need a muscle spasm style intervention to force you to stay still long enough to allow yourself to find your solution.
Trust me, the pain just isn't worth it.
Even if it's only for a few minutes.
Id' love to know if this helped you find the solution to your problem so please do jot a few words in the comments box below the video.
Have an amazing weekend & here's to you finding your own system to bring about your best life.

* I am in no way recommending anyone takes coproxamol or other medications to create an out of body experience.
Plus, if you live in the UK you'll probably struggle to get hold of this particular drug as its licence was withdrawn in January 2005. But then again it was never licenced for use for under 18's & I received my first batch at age 14... so who knows!
