When you hold onto all the self-blame, negativity and judgement your life literally cannot improve.
Your body, mind (& soul) cannot be 'happy' and 'sad' at the same time.
& when you're in judgement you're most definitely not in a happy space...
Research shows us
1. when we hold onto judgement we are triggering the stress response
2. when we trigger the stress response we are producing cortisol like it's going out of fashion
3. non stop cortisol production over a long period of time leads to; depression, anxiety, PTSS (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome), cancers, heart diseases, auto-immune diseases...
4. the only way to stop the cortisol production is by doing things which enable us to calm down, relax and feel good
But, we also know... (thanks to more science)
Our brains are on a little bit of a time delay when it comes to enabling us to make the right decisions and to life a life which is full of sunshine, flowers and never ending ice cream (can you tell I've got a little bit of the summer bug?)
This means in order for us to ACTUALLY change our lives we need to positively affect our physiology and allow our brains the time & space to catch up.
Co-incidentally, this whole giving your brain time thing is a cornerstone of all my masterclasses, group programmes and 1-2-1 work - it really is that important!
Anyways, back to how you can do this today so that you can let go of all those nasty horrible things you've been saying to yourself and start creating the life, business, family... of your dreams right now.
I love a good old step-by-step set of instructions (doesn't it just make life a heck of a lot easier?) so here's your step guide to forgiving yourself:
STEP 1: Cheat
You know how I LOVE to keep things easy peasy & this is absolutely why I rely on essential oils so much in both my personal life (remember, I'm human) and when working with my clients.
Being able to roll, sniff or gulp my way to physical and emotional health is totally a no-brainier.
(& just in case you're wondering if I've gone a little off my rocker... roll = topical use, sniff = aromatic use & gulp = internal use, Katie style 😉)
So what essential oil kicks your body into action so that you can create the space for your brain to let go?
Funnily enough... those clever doctors, scientists and researchers at doTERRA created an oil for exactly this reason & it's actually called... Forgive!
I know, their Emotional Aromatherapy Kit makes is so unbelievable easy for you to to work out what you're supposed to do with each blend!
But why this oil?
Forgive is one of doTERRA's proprietary blends designed to specifically target your cells and emotions in a certain way.
Remember, essential oils work by directly affecting the way your cells work.
Every oil can do a multitude of things, and when they're blended in the right way, you can encourage your cells to work in the way that you need.

How am I supposed to use it?
Sniff, sniff, sniff.
To get your emotional juices flowing in the right direction (aka towards love, harmony and all things fluffy) you need to target your amygdala (the part of your brain responsible for managing your emotions), & your nose is the way in.
In fact, smelling an essential oil can trigger the chemical reactions in your brain in under 30 seconds...
It really can be that fast.
Just, don't forget, your physiology is like lightening and your brain well it's like the thunder in a big old storm and will eventually catch up.
Does it matter if I don't have this oil?
OK, yes and no...
If you want the super quick emotional relief that your brain and body has been crying out for then yes.
If you're OK with playing it slow or you fell in love with your chemistry set which appeared under the Christmas one year then, no, have a go at blending your own & see how you get on.
STEP 2: Set the intention
Ah, that beautiful time to take the next step.
I love setting intentions.
But, like many of you, I also end up breaking them accidentally...
Heck, isn't that why you turned up in the first place and you're still reading?!
Anyways, an intention is a simple phrase, which has been worded in such a way as to spark your brain to move in the right direction - (aka away from the sucky, judgy life you're living right now).
I've done one for you (again, I love the easy life, so there's no way I'm gonna make things hard for you - that's just mean!)
If you're writing your own, make sure you check it over before saying it out loud as we do not want to be right back here in the judgy space for messing up.

STEP 3: Let it go!
Now it's time to spend 2-5 minutes in 'contemplation'.
Basically, it's time to do some meditation so that you can hear your thoughts and let them go as they show up.
Focus on your breathing every time something pops into your head and then just allow it to dissipate.
** BE CAREFUL ** if you are struggling a lot with stress, depression, anxiety or PTSS meditating can trigger you. Instead of sitting in silence listen to a guided meditation or some meditation music. Keep your conscious brain engaged while your biology is causing your subconscious to do the forgiving and letting go for you.
Now, it's time to get on with your day & start to have fun with your life 🎉🎉
